Sentul Vihara

Went to pay homage at the Sentul Buddhist Vihara.

Sri Petaling, Lunch @ Top Wok

The fish is fresh, the rice is AAA+ and the price is reasonable. All thanks to Alex (whom just returned from years of working experience in Southampton, UK to establish his own restaurant here in Sri Petaling).

Give it a try ... it opens from 0800hrs onwards - and you can also ask for its special Teochew porridge (since Alex is Teochew himself). Do try out the pork ribs in pineapple ... Yummy!

Masak Titik

Our version of the malay dish called "Lodeh" - cooked using coconut and lots of vegetables.

Tiles @ Chilli's Tabletop (1U)

Took this snapshot of the tiles at the 1U, Chilli's tabletop while waiting for the Chicken Crispers to arrive.

SJ ss15 market

The first picture is where we usually get the Yam cake (chinese) and Nasi Lemak (malay) from the new ss15 market in the morning. The second picture was taken cos of the nice sky which is located diagonally across the "Gerai Opah"

Spaghetti

Cooked using PREGO (Mushroom, Onions and Green Pepper sauce) and also freshly cut GREEN PEPPERS! My attempt to be creative (pls. dun mind the presentation ... it sucks frankly) by adding in red wine while cooking the sauce. The pasta is first boiled and then added into the sauce to stir-fry to ensure that the sauce will enter the penne cavity.
Used here is 'penne rigate' - having ridges on each noodle.

Apple Cider Vinegar

This is the best apple cider vinegar that I have consumed up-to-date. The smell although pungent is still bearable compared to many brands availble in the market. Managed to find this being sold in Cold Storage, Ikano Powerhouse.

Cider is rumored to be beneficial to reduce high cholesterol and also said to have curing effects for gout sufferers.

173,806km

173,806km travelled. Do you think I should buy over this car? Honda 2.2L (i) Model 1998?

Enviro

Okay I know this is long overdued. Wanted to clean the space in my laptop and wanted to also maintain this paper cutting so decided to dump it here at my blog. Entered a lucky draw contest and came out top in the assembly competition and won this unit back just in time to celebrate Mother's Day. Event was held in S.Parade, LGF.

RRP is RM 488/- and we also got the bright apple green colour - which is also the same colour I was assembling in the contest.

Have tested this unit several times already and it RAWKS!

One Utama, 22-Feb-2007

Chinese New Year decoration @ One Utama new wing. I kind of like the bamboo decorations and I think it will look better if it was less sparse.

Little Penang Cafe, 1 Utama

Setting is very simple. Had Nasi Lemak PG stye and Pie Tee (unfortunately the chilli paste is not authentic as it lacks vinegar). Its a good replica for PG food but nothing beats the original of course.

Sentul Vihara

The Sentul Buddhist Vihara has really changed a lot. After which YTL transformed the old sentul into the new age - the temple is now located just right next to the main road. Used to be located inside a secluded and quiet spot with tree surroundings.

Happened to arrived in time to be blessed by one of the bhikkus. Sadhu! Sadhu! Sadhu! (May all beings be well and happy)

Tang Oh

This leaf is only available during Chinese New Year. A delicacy that is required to be cooked in the steamboat soup for its unique taste in transforming and enhancing the base soup.

Nice sunset

The skyline caught my attention in one of my evening stroll. It is very seldom to catch a glimpse of this multi coloured light above. Needless to say from the massive orange hue, the following day was very HOT indeed.

Melaka St.

Finally a restaurant serves good baba-nyonya delicacies. The Petai Prawn is quite nice and served with a generous toppings of onions and of course "petai"s. At least here we are unable to count the quantity of petai's that was cooked unlike other restaurants.

The "Sizzling Tofu" is a must try as the sauce is sweet and slightly salty from the salted fish. A vegetable "Loh Hon Chai" comes with sauce that is just right to the palate.

Chinese tonic for coughs

This is the specially brewed chinese tonic for coughs. De-skinned peanuts cooked with rock sugar. Quite yummy, apart from it medicinal values, one can also cook this as an after dinner dessert.

肉干

Went to ss2, PJ today to beat the super long queue for dried meat ("bak gua"). Freshly done and packed upon order. Went for the original pork meat as there is chicken option available as well.

An orderly queue to process the order

Crystal Vase

Did not want to waste this crystal vase so decorated it with some pines (collected from SF) and some Mou Tan Fa. Looks great especially with a direct light source to ephasize its beauty.
